This paper delves into the critical role of climate change and its implications for modern infrastructure systems. As climate change continues to pose unprecedented challenges, it becomes imperative to develop resilient and flexible infrastructure that can withstand the uncertainties of an ever-changing environment. Through a comprehensive investigation of various uncertainty methodologies, this study explores their potential application in decision-making processes to facilitate the creation of adaptive infrastructure systems. To lay the groundwork for a better understanding of the subject matter, the paper examines essential terminology related to climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, uncertainty, and decision making. By bridging the knowledge gap between climate change dynamics and infrastructure planning, this research contributes to the development of sustainable and robust infrastructure systems that can effectively face the challenges posed by climate change.
