dc.description.abstract | The practice of water storage is often carried out by women who live in households with unequal access to the resource and high presence of mosquitoborne disease vectors. While the literature on these types of vectors highlights the responsibility of individuals for the prevention of mosquito-borne diseases, little attention has been paid to how they influence the daily experiences of women. This research helps to understand the presence of mosquitoes, water management practices, and the daily experiences of women living in vulnerable urban households in Barranquilla. Through the collection and analysis of their daily experiences, the article shows and concludes that there is a close relationship between water management, the life cycle of A. aegypti, and women's experiences.
