dc.description.abstractEste estudio analiza los factores que se asocian al desempeño de los micronegocios en Colombia entre los años 2019 a 2021, a partir de los datos de la Encuesta de Micronegocios de los años 2019, 2020 y 2021. El desempeño de los pequeños negocios puede ser explicado a partir de las características de su propietario, las condiciones internas del negocio, el acceso a la financiación y las condiciones externas del mercado. Para conocer la asociación entre el desempeño de los negocios con las características del propietario y del micronegocio se estiman dos modelos: un modelo logit para conocer los factores que pueden influir en la probabilidad de que un micronegocio este ubicado en percentil superior de las ventas y un modelo por Mínimos Cuadrados Ordinarios para identificar las asociaciones lineales entre las características del propietario y del micronegocio con las ventas anuales. Se concluye que las características del propietario como el género, la motivación para crear el negocio y el tipo de aportes al Sistema de Seguridad Social tienen una asociación positiva con las ventas anuales; las características del micronegocio que dan cuenta de sus capacidades de producción y gestión como el manejo de registros de cuentas, el uso de tecnologías de la información, la formalización de entrada, la formalidad laboral y la inversión en activos físicos tienen una asociación positiva significativa con la variable analizada; la financiación por medio del ahorro también se asocia significativamente con el desempeño en términos de ventas para el periodo analizado.
