dc.description.abstract | En el presente reporte se resume el proceso para la selección de la necesidad de un método de
inmovilización para el procedimiento de toma de imágenes de resonancia magnética en el área de
neonatología. La resonancia magnética (RM) es un método de diagnóstico preciso para determinar distintas patologías. Sin embargo, el procedimiento muestra un 53,5% más de dificultad en infantes con respecto a adultos. Lo anterior se debe a la movilidad natural incontrolada que se produce en los menores, como también a factores que resultan en incomodidad y ansiedad como el
ambiente reducido del resonador o también el ruido que emite. Por lo tanto, se recurre al uso de
anestesia y sedación para que la imagen obtenida en la resonancia magnética sea precisa y confiable aumentando el riesgo físico del neonato, costos y tiempo de monitorización del procedimiento. Por lo tanto, en el presente se busca mostrar un método funcional de inmovilización para neonatos durante el procedimiento de toma de resonancia magnética el cual implementa un colchón enfocado en inmovilizar el torso inferior y superior del neonato, en adición a la protección auditiva integrada. | |
