Denominado de esta manera debido a su estrategia enfocada al comercio, ofreciendo servicios complementarios dentro de si y no solo como un sitio de zonas industriales que generan una gran masa de carga, si no como un lugar para el origen y destino de las manufacturas que se movilizan en el comercio y que fortalecen su crecimiento, a su vez a porta al desarrollo de la autosostenibilidad no solo para la región, si no a nivel global. Por ellos se realizó un proceso de planeación urbanístico y arquitectónico, el cual se desarrollo durante diferentes etapas.
