Protagonismo infantil de los niños migrantes venezolanos residentes en el territorio colombiano-Bogotá

Abstract

La migración infantil viene aumentando y se distingue a los niños de este fenómeno como población en riesgo y vulnerable, en algunos contextos sociales se percibe a la infancia como minusválida, dependiente y objeto de protección, sin embargo, nuevos estudios vienen demostrando que los niños son competentes y sujetos sociales, cuentan con derecho a la participación y, por tanto, a ser protagonistas, esos nuevos estudios también sugieren escuchar la voz de los niños y visibilizarla. El objetivo de esta investigación fue precisamente conocer sobre el protagonismo de los niños migrantes venezolanos residentes en Bogotá, y a través de un enfoque cualitativo se diseñó un instrumento que permitió conversar con los niños y sus familiares, resultando suficiente información en los resultados de esta investigación. Finalmente, esta tesis identificó protagonismo en los niños migrantes venezolanos, a través de su discurso se reconocieron sus competencias al vivir el contexto e interpretarlo, sin embargo, los familiares adultos no les reconocen como sujetos activos.

Child migration is increasing and children are distinguished from this phenomenon as a population at risk and vulnerable, in some social contexts children are perceived as handicapped, dependent and object of protection, however, new studies have shown that children are competent and social subjects, have the right to participate and, therefore, to be protagonists, these new studies also suggest listening to the voice of children and making it visible. The objective of this research was precisely to learn about the role of Venezuelan migrant children residing in Bogotá, and through a qualitative approach, an instrument was designed that allowed conversations with the children and their families, resulting in sufficient information in the results of this investigation. Finally, this thesis identified protagonist in Venezuelan migrant children, through their speech their competences were recognized when living the context and interpreting it, however, adult relatives do not recognize them as active subjects.
