dc.description.abstractEl uso frecuente de pornografía se ha relacionado con la salud mental y la sexualidad de las personas. Sin embargo, en Colombia son pocos los estudios de la relación que tienen el uso de pornografía con esto. El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar la relación del uso problemático de pornografía con el autoestima sexual, corporal y funcionamiento sexual en una muestra de 357 personas conformado por población colombiana de edades entre 18 a 40 años. Se usó un diseño de tipo descriptivo-correlacional, utilizando la versión validada en Colombia del Sexual Inhibition/Sexual Excitation, la versión validada en Colombia de la Sexuality Scale, Body Shape Questionnaire, la validación colombiana del Massachusetts General Hospital-Sexual Functioning Questionnaire y una encuesta sociodemográfica semiestructurada. Se encontraron relaciones entre el uso de la pornografía con mayor temor a la ejecución, mayor insatisfacción corporal, mayor depresión sexual, mayor preocupación sexual y menor autoestima sexual.
dc.description.abstractThe frequent use of pornography has been related to people's mental health and sexuality. However, in Colombia there are few studies on the relationship between pornography use and this. The objective of this research was to identify the relationship of problematic pornography use with sexual and bodily self-esteem and sexual functioning in a sample of 357 Colombians between 18 and 40 years of age. A descriptive-correlational design was used, using the validated version in Colombia of the Sexual Inhibition/Sexual Excitation, the validated version in Colombia of the Sexuality Scale, Body Shape Questionnaire, the Colombian validation of the Massachusetts General Hospital-Sexual Functioning Questionnaire and a semi-structured sociodemographic survey. Relationships were found between the use of pornography with greater fear of execution, greater body dissatisfaction, greater sexual depression, greater sexual preoccupation and lower sexual self-esteem.
