dc.descriptionObjetivo: Describir las experiencias cotidianas de personas que viven problemas de callejización y los significados que ellos atribuyen al crack. Materiales y Métodos: Investigación cualitativa, descriptiva y exploratoria, de cuño sociohistórico; la recolección de los datos se dio por medio de entrevistas directas con 20 participantes, realizadas durante los meses de febrero a abril de 2013 en los principales fumódromos de la ciudad de Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brasil. Se utilizó como referencial teórico, la teoría del Estigma del sociólogo Erving Goffman y las historias de vida como técnica para recolectar los datos; posteriormente, esos datos fueron analizados según el Análisis de Contenido de Bardin, a partir del cual surgieron dos categorías: "Vida en la calle: entre batallas y sobrevivencias" y "Crack: la maldición que fascina". Resultados: Los resultados revelan que la calle fue concebida como un espacio urbano, fugaz, lleno de luchas, estigmas y libertades simbólicas, donde la principal tarea está relacionada con la sobrevivencia diaria. Con relación al crack, este tuvo un significado dicotómico: vida vs muerte. Conclusión: La multifactorialidad de los fenómenos de la adicción al crack y la callejización debe ser contemplada en la ejecución de respuestas interdisciplinares y desestigmatizantes, que consideren las varias dimensiones inmersas en sus concepciones personales, físicas, psicológicas, sociales, económicas, familiares y legales.
dc.descriptionObjective: To describe the everyday experiences of homeless people and the meanings they give crack Materials and Methods: Qualitative, descriptive and exploratory research with a socio-historical approach. Data collection was conducted using direct interviews with 20 participants carried out from February to April 2013 in the main smoking areas in the city of Florinopolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Sociologist Erving Goffman's Stigma Theory was used as theoretical framework and life stories were used as the technique to collect data . Later data was analyzed using Bardin's content analysis from which two categories emerged: "Life on the street: between battles and survival" and "Crack: the curse that fascinates". Results: The results highlight that the street was conceived as an urban space, fleeting, full of struggles, stigmas and symbolic freedom where the main task is related to survival. With regard to crack, this had a dichotomous meaning: life versus death. Conclusions: The multifactorial aspect of the phenomena of addition to crack and the living on the streets must be seen under the execution of interdisciplinary and woth no stigmatization answers which take into consideration the different dimension immerse in their personal, physical, psychological , social, economical, family and legal conceptions.
