In this case study work, the design option of an arepas cutting tool is analyzed, studied and proposed in a microenterprise dedicated to the production of arepas in the department of Boyacá, where the analysis of the processes was carried out. productive and a study of times was carried out where it was evidenced that there was an activity that had very long operating times, waste of raw materials and physical wear on the part of the operator, this being the process of cutting and forming the arepas, for which reason for which bibliographical reviews of dough cutting machines and visits to manufacturers of these machines are carried out in order to generate ideas and identify and analyze the different materials together with the appropriate mechanisms that helped to design a prototype that would solve this problem and be accessible to the budget of the organization in addition to the strategy of seeking the marketing and sale of the tool and different organizations that are dedicated to the production of mixtures.
