The objective of this work was to implement a digitalized monitoring system in OSI (OSIsoft) for the control and visualization of critical variables in the industry. The study included the development of a work plan with activities such as training, meetings and participation in process teams. PI Builder and PI Management Tools software were used to create tags and register templates on the server. Visualization screens were built in OSI, focused on plant priorities, using tools such as PI Vision and PI System Explorer, configuring data status and behavior, generating visual alarms and e-mail notifications. A methodology was employed that involved collaboration with process, production and maintenance teams, with weekly meetings and physical review of the adhesive system. The implementation of the system allowed for more effective control of critical variables, reducing data collection time and improving decision making. The visualization screens in OSI facilitated the detection of deviations and anomalies in the process, along with visual alarms and notifications that contributed to a faster response to potential problems. In conclusion, the migration to a digitized monitoring system has proven to be successful, reducing failures, machine downtime, raw material consumption and improving the quality of the final product.
