dc.description.abstractThe following research focuses on the study of the National Football League (NFL) as a business model, its organizational structure, its influence on the local economy and why it is considered one of the most successful sports leagues in the world, being pioneers of many methodologies used in the sports industry and how it has not only generated economic benefits to the franchises that make up the league, but also to the cities that host these teams. At the same time, it will be presented how the Colombian soccer league is nowadays, its model and current context and a comparison of both structures used in these leagues will be made to show the benefits and problems that each of them has, analyzing if it is feasible to apply some of the methods used in this American league in the Colombian soccer league.
