El sufrimiento del justo y la presencia de Dios en los casos de enfermedad

Abstract

This research seeks to interpret the suffering of the just from the presence of God in cases of illness, taking as a reference passages from the book of Job to present a pastoral proposal that offers guidelines on how to deal with it from a Christian perspective. It takes into account the suffering caused by the disease, the existential doubts, the questions of the sick regarding God's action in history, especially in those who suffer from it and in their families. This research will be developed in six chapters, namely: at first the problem statement is made, its justification description and the general and specific objectives are made known, then in a second moment an approach to the concept of suffering and its cultural understanding from some human sciences. In a third chapter the methodology is disclosed from the qualitative approach, the chosen method and the population that was taken as a reference for the development of this research, in the fourth chapter the subject of suffering is delivered from the book of Job. Subsequently, in a fifth moment, the relationship between suffering and disease is established, and finally, in the last chapter, pastoral guidelines are given to assume suffering from the disease, from a Christian perspective, giving guidelines for medical and care personnel, for family members and for pastoral agents offering tools that bring some relief to those who suffer.
