dc.description.abstractAs we will analyze, it is really difficultto talk about authoritarian regimes today in the 21st century, since the great battles that have been unleashed as a consequence and in reproach of authoritarianism and totalitarianism have not been few. It is then when the concepts of Republic and Democracy are strengthened to the point of considering another way of exercising power inefficient. The great struggles against the concentration and perpetuation of power have given rise to societies where the sovereignty of the people is practically a universal principle, whether it is fulfilled to a greater or lesser extent, but which, in the end, is known and implemented. even when it is not respected.
