dc.descriptionDespite advances in the legal sphere, the practical implementation of the ethno-educational process has not progressed significantly in the Colombian context, resulting in limited impacts and transformations within communities. Addressing this issue requires conducting critical historical research to understand its underlying causes and explore political and pedagogical solutions. This paper aims to analyze the historical development of the ethno-educational process in the Department of Bolívar. To achieve this, a qualitative methodology utilizing ethnographic tools, such as semi-structured interviews, and a review of documentary sources like newspaper articles, are employed. The findings of this study highlight a lack of understanding regarding the cultural realities of these communities and the fundamental principles of ethno-education. Therefore, it is necessary to provide teacher training that incorporates these aspects, integrate them into the curriculum, and ensure their application reaches the entire population.en-US
dc.descriptionLa etnoeducación ha sido un proceso que ha tenido avances jurídicos, pero no se han reflejado en la praxis; en el contexto colombiano, no han habido efectos o transformaciones significativas en las comunidades a partir de este enfoque. Atendiendo a esta problemática, es perentoria la realización de investigaciones históricas críticas que develen las causas para pensar en soluciones pedagógicas y políticas; por tanto, como objetivo se plantea analizar el desarrollo histórico de la etnoeducación en el departamento de Bolívar. Para ello se empleó una metodología de enfoque cualitativo con técnicas etnográficas como la entrevista semiestructurada y se acudió al uso de fuentes documentales como la prensa. Los resultados encontrados apuntan a afirmar que hay un desconocimiento de las realidades culturales de las comunidades y de los fundamentos de la etnoeducación, por lo cual, se requiere formación de maestros, transversalización curricular y la generalización para toda la población.es-ES
