Territórios Sonoros Marginalizados: Funk, Juventude Negra e Periferia

Abstract

A pesquisa aborda a criminalização e marginalização histórica da juventude da classe trabalhadora, especialmente os jovens negros e periféricos, pelo Estado e pela mídia, por meio do gênero musical funk. O objetivo é refletir sobre o discurso estigmatizante que constrói a imagem do "funkeiro" e promove o pânico moral em relação às práticas culturais dessas juventudes. O método utilizado neste trabalho foi a análise crítica de artigos jornalísticos e de bibliografia pertinente às temáticas abordadas neste artigo. Os resultados da pesquisa apontam para uma construção histórica de estereótipos e preconceitos raciais que têm como objetivo marginalizar e excluir esses jovens de certos espaços, utilizando o funk para isso. O artigo contribui para a compreensão destes mecanismos de criminalização da juventude preta e periférica, e oferece reflexões sobre as dinâmicas sociais envolvidas nesse processo.

The research addresses the historical criminalization and marginalization of working-class youth, particularly black and marginalized youth, by the state and the media through the genre of funk music. The objective is to critically examine the stigmatizing discourse that shapes the image of the "funkeiro" and fuels moral panic regarding the cultural practices of these young individuals. The methodology employed in this study involved a critical analysis of journalistic articles and relevant literature pertaining to the topics discussed in this article. The research findings highlight the historical construction of stereotypes and racial prejudices that aim to marginalize and exclude these young individuals from certain spaces, with funk being used as a tool for such purposes. This article contributes to the understanding of the mechanisms involved in the criminalization of black and marginalized youth while providing reflections on the social dynamics inherent in this process.
