Mulheres no umbral: representação literária da casa e da rua na literatura baiana de autoria feminina

Abstract

Estudo da problemática em que se insere a escritura feminina: a casa e a rua e as conseqüências geradas pelos deslocamentos entre as esferas privada e pública. Descrição dessa abordagem nas narrativas de Anna Ribeiro (1843–1930) por registrar o mundo privado das personagens femininas na passagem da casa grande (da sociedade patriarcal agrária do Recôncavo) e os sobrados (da capital) ao tempo em que estabelece uma vinculação estreita entre o cotidiano e a História da Bahia. Propõe um contraponto entre essa produção e os romances Mulher no espelho (1983) de Helena Parente Cunha e Atire em Sofia (1989) de Sonia Coutinho que representam as mudanças sociais com a inserção das protagonistas na esfera pública e estabelecem rasuras no modelo esposa-mãe-dona-de-casa.

The study of the problematics in which the female scripture is inserted: the house and the street, as well as the consequences generated by displacements between the private and the public circles. A description of such an approach in the narratives of Anna Ribeiro (1843-1930) for registering the private world of female characters in the moving out from the master’s house (in the agrarian patriarchal society of the Recôncavo) and the two-story houses (of the state capital) at the days in which a close relationship between the daily activities and the history of Bahia is established. It proposes a counterpoint between such production and the novels Mulher no espelho (1983) by Helena Parente Cunha and Atire em Sofia (1989) by Sonia Coutinho, both representative of social changes bringing an insertion of female characters in the public circles and both by establishing erasures in the wifehousewife models.
