| dc.description | The study aimed to know the conduct of health professionals involved in the Line of Care for Overweight and Obesity (LCSO) of the SUS, with the aim of understanding the main perspectives involving food and nutrition and the impacts of these behaviors on the lives of users. Developed in the Family Health Strategy units, and in the specialized services of the Municipal Health Secretary of Natal/RN, this case study has an exploratory and descriptive character, and a quali-quantitative approach. Twenty-five health professionals were interviewed using a quali-quantitative questionnaire containing 30 questions based on the referential documents and publications of the LCSO offered by the Ministério da Saúde. The main results consider that, besides the diagnosis of overweight and obesity obtained through BMI, it is of utmost importance to evaluate the social determinants, in both levels of health care, so that clinical interventions, especially nutritional ones, are based on the individuality of the patient. The study also emphasized the need for health professionals to know the public policies and references that subsidize the LCSO, since these professionals have more potential to establish and meet the goals that the LCSO intends to achieve. It was possible to observe that the implementation of Food and Nutrition Education should be carried out by all health professionals, in order to reduce the impacts of the unfavorable change in eating patterns caused by the high consumption of ultra-processed foods and sedentary lifestyle. | dc.description | O estudo objetivou identificar a conduta dos profissionais de saúde envolvidos na Linha de Cuidado do Sobrepeso e Obesidade (LCSO) do SUS, buscando compreender as principais perspectivas que envolvem a alimentação e nutrição e os impactos destas condutas nos usuários. É um estudo de caso, de caráter exploratório, descritivo, de abordagem quali-quantitativa, nas unidades de Estratégia Saúde da Família e nos serviços especializados da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Natal/RN. Foram entrevistados 25 profissionais através de questionário contendo 30 perguntas baseadas em referenciais do Ministério da Saúde sobre a LCSO. Os principais resultados consideram que é importante avaliar os determinantes sociais, em ambos níveis de atenção à saúde, para que intervenções clínicas, principalmente nutricionais, sejam baseadas na individualidade do usuário. Destacou-se a necessidade dos profissionais de conhecerem as políticas públicas e referenciais, visto que possuem maior potencial de estabelecer e cumprir as metas da LCSO. Observou-se que a Educação Alimentar e Nutricional sendo realizada por todos os profissionais de saúde reduz impactos da desfavorável mudança nos padrões alimentares pelo alto consumo de alimentos Contudo, salienta-se o potencial papel da gestão e da implementação de políticas que viabilizem a execução da LCSO, impulsionando o trabalho dos profissionais de saúde. | |
