| dc.description | A esporotricose é uma micose zoonótica de distribuição mundial que afeta a pele e outros tecidos de humanos e outras espécies de animais, principalmente os felinos. Devido ao fato de o felino doméstico com esporotricose desempenhar um papel importante na transmissão do agente, Sporotrix spp., tanto para humanos quanto para outros animais e pelo alto número de casos observados no município, objetivou-se relatar cinco casos de esporotricose felina, acompanhados durante o estágio curricular no Hospital Veterinário da Universidade Federal do Paraná, nos meses de abril e maio de 2019, na cidade de Curitiba-PR. Os animais apresentaram lesões cutâneas ulceradas, crostosas e exsudativas em quatro casos; em um animal houve apenas aumento de volume nasal. Os diagnósticos foram feitos por citologia e cultura fúngica de swab das lesões. Na citologia observaram-se estruturas pleomórficas, arredondadas e ovaladas no interior dos macrófagos, compatíveis com Sporotrix spp. Por ser um tratamento longo, os animais seguem em tratamento com itraconazol e acompanhamento quinzenal. | |
| dc.description | Sporotrichosis is a zoonotic mycosis of worldwide distribution that affects the skin and other tissues of humans and other species of animals, especially the felines. Due to the fact that the domestic feline with sporotrichosis play an important role in the transmission of the agent, Sporotrix spp., Both for humans and other animals and because of the high number of cases observed in the municipality, it was aimed to report five cases of feline sporotrichosis, during the curricular traineeship at the Veterinary Hospital of the Federal University of Paraná, in the months of April and May 2019, in the city of Curitiba-PR. The animals reported ulcerated, crusted and exudative skin lesions in four cases; in one animal there was only increased nasal volume. Diagnoses were made by cytology and fungal swab culture of the lesions. In cytology, pleomorphic, rounded and oval structures within the macrophages compatible with Sporotrix spp. Because it is a long treatment, the animals are treated with itraconazole and biweekly evaluated. | |
