In Brazil, access to electricity continues to be a service to which many localities, which are mostly located in the Brazilian Amazon, do not have access. Whether due to the various geographical difficulties that these localities present or to the high cost of access to the distribution lines of the urban centers, they do not have an electric power supply. A solution for these cases is to carry out the supply through small-scale decentralized generation systems, such as photovoltaic systems. Therefore, the present work focuses on sizing an isolated microgrid for a community located in the Brazilian Amazon. The sizing was carried out using the HOMER pro computational tool.
