| dc.description | The research sought to understand the representations and discourses about the RussianUkrainian conflicts in the period from 2009 to 2019 in the writings of the Chliborob newspaper.
Considering the impossibility of a general approach, we propose to think about two events. The
Holodomor that occurred in the years from 1932-1933, and in sequence the Crimean Crisis,
which broke out in 2014. For the feasibility of the work, we analyzed the editions published
between the years 2009-2019 and thus sought not only to understand their representations about
mentioned events, but based on these mechanisms and discourses, we also understand the role
of printed material as a representative of the Ukrainian-Brazilian press and its media character
towards readers. Therefore, we analyze the media discourses and relationships between these
vehicles and their social position, relevant to the proposed study. Using documentary research,
we glimpse the newspaper's position in the delimited temporality, treating also of the context
of Crimea, as well as others other such as anti-communism and the Russian presence in the
region Ukraine. We can see in its pages, so many issues that concern the Ukrainian presence in
Brazil, more specifically the activities of the Ukrainian Society of Brazil and other entities in
the city of Curitiba, as well as the Russian-Ukrainian tensions and debates placed on an
international stage. Therefore, the identity, cultural, socio-political, and economic issues
between the two countries can be analyzed through media studies and documentary treatment.
Far from ending solely based on the events mentioned, the representations towards the past, the
discourses towards the present, and the tensions that permeate the pages of our object of study,
are elements that we problematize and pay attention to during the research. The analyzes made
also allow us to understand the ethnic-identity formations of the communities dealt with here,
understanding, based on symbologies, religious and sociocultural mechanisms, how the
national identities of a people are historically manufactured, and how, understanding these
identities in crisis, are in certain contexts constantly re-signified and re-evaluated. | |
| dc.description | A pesquisa buscou compreender as representações e discursos sobre os conflitos russoucranianos no período de 2009 a 2019 nos escritos do jornal Chliborob. Considerando a
impossibilidade de uma abordagem geral, nos propomos a pensar dois acontecimentos: o
Holodomor ocorrido nos anos de 1932-1933, e em sequência, a Crise da Crimeia, deflagrada a
partir de 2014. Para a exequibilidade do trabalho, analisamos as edições veiculadas entre os
anos de 2009-2019 e buscamos assim não somente entender suas representações acerca dos
eventos citados, mas a partir desses mecanismos e discursos, também entendermos o papel do
impresso como representante da imprensa ucraniano-brasileira e o seu caráter midiático para
com os leitores. Analisamos, portanto, os discursos de mídia e as relações entre esses veículos
e sua posição social, relevantes para o estudo proposto. Utilizando da pesquisa documental,
vislumbramos o posicionamento do jornal na temporalidade delimitada, tratando também do
contexto da Crimeia, bem como outras matérias como o anticomunismo e a presença russa na
região da Ucrânia. Percebemos tanto questões que dizem respeito à presença ucraniana no
Brasil, mais especificamente as atividades da Sociedade Ucraniana do Brasil e demais entidades
no município de Curitiba, como tensões e debates russo-ucranianos colocados em um cenário
internacional. Logo, as questõesidentitárias, culturais, sociopolíticas e econômicas entre os dois
países puderam ser analisadas através dos estudos de mídia e do trato documental. Longe de se
encerrarem unicamente a partir dos eventos colocados, as representações para com o passado,
os discursos para com o presente e as tensões que perpassam as páginas de nosso objeto de
estudo, foram elementos que problematizamos e nos atentamos no decorrer da pesquisa. As
análises feitas ainda nos possibilitaram o entendimento das formações étnico-identitárias das
comunidades tratadas, compreendendo por parte das simbologias, mecanismos religiosos e
socioculturais; também como são historicamente fabricadas as identidades nacionais de um
povo, e de que modo, entendendo essas identidades em crise, foram em determinados contextos
constantemente ressignificadas e reavaliadas. | |
