dc.descriptionThe present study sought to investigate whether the violence committed against journalists in Brazil between 2012 and 2020 can be considered as a specific manifestation of the phenomenon. To this end, the investigation focused on the violence materialized through the reports of violence against journalists of the National Federation of Journalists (Fenaj). Making use of document analysis and through an effort to systematize the information, we arrived at an analytical matrix that allowed us to characterize and classify the manifestations of violence in eight typical situations. The research also revealed the existence of patterns in acts of violence, also revealing a scenario of transformation from 2018 in the country. The research also ensured the verification of indications that the incidence of new forms of violence forges changes in protocols for the fulfillment of journalistic tasks, in addition to attesting to the influence of the coverage context for a greater or lesser exposure of journalists to risks.
dc.descriptionO presente estudo buscou investigar se a violência cometida contra jornalistas no Brasil, entre 2012 e 2020, pode ser considerada como uma manifestação específica do fenômeno. Para tanto, a investigação se concentrou na violência materializada por meio dos relatórios de violência contra jornalistas da Federação Nacional dos Jornalistas (Fenaj). Se valendo da análise documental e por meio de um esforço de sistematização das informações, chegou-se à uma matriz analítica que permitiu caracterizar e classificar as manifestações de violência em oito situações-tipo. A investigação também desnudou a existência de padrões nos atos de violência, revelando ainda um cenário de transformação a partir de 2018 no país. A pesquisa garantiu ainda a verificação de indiciamentos de que a incidência de novas formas de violência forja alterações nos protocolos para o cumprimento de tarefas jornalísticas, além de atestar a influência do contexto de cobertura para uma maior ou menor exposição dos jornalistas aos riscos.
