| dc.description | Objective: To verify the relationship between oral manifestations and rheumatoid arthritis in patients who come to the rheumatology office of the HCMM. Juliaca. 2020. Materials and methods: the present investigation is of a correlational, observational, prospective level, having made a single measurement for what is considered cross-sectional, 576 people were considered as the universe of which by statistical formula we obtained 144 people to be considered In our sample, in whom the technique of clinical observation and inspection of the oral cavity was used, recording it in the instrument designed for our purpose, the results obtained were analyzed in a systematization matrix to find the percentages and frequencies while performing the To test the hypothesis, the chi-square statistical test was used. Results: of 144 patients who come to the rheumatology service, 91% were diagnosed with late rheumatoid arthritis while the remaining 9% have early rheumatoid arthritis, with respect to gingivitis 82.6%, have mild gingivitis, 82.6% have no alteration gingival, 36.1% have moderate chronic periodontitis and 18.1% do not have periodontal disease, as for xerostomia, 18.1% present it while 32.6% do not; Regarding aphthous stomatitis, 91.0% did not present it and 9% did. Conclusion: it has been possible to establish that there is a causal relationship (p value = 0.011 = 1.1% <0.05) between oral clinical manifestations with rheumatoid arthritis, of patients who come to the rheumatology office of the HCMM Juliaca. 2019. | dc.description | Objetivo: Comprobar la relación que existe entre las manifestaciones bucales y la artritis reumatoide de pacientes que a al consultorio de Reumatología del HCMM. Juliaca. 2020. Materiales y métodos: la presente investigación es de nivel correlacional, observacional, prospectivo, habiéndose hecho una sola medición por lo que se considera de tipo transversal, se consideró como universo 576 personas de los cuales mediante formula estadística obtuvimos 144 personas para ser consideradas en nuestra muestra, en quienes se utilizó la técnica de la observación e inspección clínica de la cavidad bucal plasmándolo en el instrumento diseñado para nuestro fin, los resultados obtenidos fueron analizados en una matriz de sistematización para hallar los porcentajes y frecuencias mientras que para realizar la contrastación de la hipótesis se utilizó la prueba estadística del chi cuadrado. Resultados: de 144 pacientes que acuden al servicio de reumatología el 91% fueron diagnosticados con artritis reumatoide tardía mientras que el restante 9% tienen artritis reumatoide temprana, con respecto a la gingivitis el 82.6%, tienen gingivitis leve, el 82.6% no tienen alteración gingival, el 36.1% tienen periodontitis crónica moderada y el 18.1% no presentan enfermedad periodontal, en cuanto a la xerostomía el 18.1% la presentan mientras que el 32.6% no la presentan; en cuanto a la estomatitis aftosa el 91.0% no presenta y el 9% si la presenta. Conclusión: se ha podido establecer que existe una relación de causalidad (Valor de p= 0.011 = 1.1% < 0.05) entre las manifestaciones clínicas bucales con la artritis reumatoide, de pacientes que acuden al consultorio de reumatología del HCMM Juliaca. 2020.
