| dc.description | Se realiz? una investigaci?n que pretendi? caracterizar la cadena para la recuperaci?n de aceite usado proveniente del sector automotriz en el contexto urbano (Ciudad de Ibagu?). La disposici?n final del aceite usado, es una problem?tica de inter?s mundial dada por la creciente presi?n hacia la preservaci?n del ambiente y al desarrollo sostenible, lo que conlleva a la importancia de la gesti?n eficiente de residuos (la reducci?n, la reutilizaci?n y el reciclaje) como una fuente de generaci?n de valor en el contexto local.
La caracterizaci?n de la cadena de recuperaci?n implic? el cumplimiento de los siguientes objetivos espec?ficos. El primero, consisti? en realizar un an?lisis de referencia de buenas pr?cticas para el dise?o de una cadena de recuperaci?n de aceites usados que permita identificar aspectos claves para su caracterizaci?n en contextos urbanos. En el segundo objetivo, se pretendi? caracterizar los actores que intervienen en la cadena de recuperaci?n que permita su representaci?n en el contexto mediante la realizaci?n de encuestas y entrevistas que se desarrollaron en diferentes servi tecas de la ciudad (sitios en los que generalmente se realizan los cambios de aceite). Finalmente, se realiz? un diagn?stico que permite dimensionar la problem?tica ambiental, social y econ?mica existente en la cadena de recuperaci?n de aceites usados en Ibagu? mediante el an?lisis de la informaci?n recolectada y de esta manera formular estrategias que mitiguen el impacto de dicho residuo.
Para el trabajo de investigaci?n, se visitaron en total 20 lugares que prestan el servicio de cambio de aceite automotriz, los cuales estaban divididos en servitecas y talleres locales. Basados en la informaci?n obtenida en cada uno de ellos se estimaron los c?lculos de recolecci?n de aceite por cada una de las dos empresas (Atica y Combustibles Juanchito), lo que arrojo 34,08 tambores al mes y cada tambor cuenta con una capacidad de 55 galones, por consiguiente, se recolectan 1874.4 Galones / Mes. | |
| dc.description | An investigation was carried out that sought to characterize the chain for the recovery of used oil from the automotive sector in the urban context (Ciudad de Ibagu?). The final disposal of used oil is a problem of global interest due to the increasing pressure towards the preservation of the environment and sustainable development, which implies the importance of efficient waste management (reduction, reuse and recycling) as a source of value generation in the local context.
The characterization of the recovery chain implied the fulfillment of the following specific objectives. The first one consisted of carrying out a benchmark analysis of good practices for the design of a used oil recovery chain that allows identifying key aspects for its characterization in urban contexts. In the second objective, the aim was to characterize the actors that intervene in the recovery chain that allows their representation in the context by conducting surveys and interviews that were carried out in different services in the city (places where the oil changes). Finally, a diagnosis was carried out that allows the environmental, social and economic problems existing in the recovery chain of used oils in Ibagu? to be dimensioned by analyzing the information collected and thus formulating strategies to mitigate the impact of said waste.
For the research work, a total of 20 places that provide the service of automotive oil change were visited, which were divided into servitecs and local workshops. Based on the information obtained in each of them, the oil collection calculations for each of the two companies (Atica y Combustibles Juanchito) were estimated, which resulted in 34.08 drums per month and each drum has a capacity of 55 gallons, therefore 1874.4 gallons / month are collected. | |
