La colonia 20 de abril "Darío Santillán". Producción y comercialización agroecológica en el partido de Luján, provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina

Abstract

Desde el año 2015 la Colonia Agrícola Integral de Abastecimiento Urbano “20 de Abril «Darío Santillán»” promueve una alternativa agroecológica en la producción y comercialización de hortalizas en el Partido de Luján, Provincia de Buenos Aires (PBA). Este emprendimiento de la Agricultura Familiar y la Economía Social y Solidaria, surge en un contexto donde la producción hortícola convencional del AMBA (Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires)se cimienta en un modelo hegemónico basado en la degradación de los agrosistemas y la consolidación de relaciones sociales explotativas. Este artículo busca analizar las condiciones generales de la producción de alimentos de la PBA y sistematizar algunas estrategias comerciales que se dan en el partido de Luján, que podrían ser una alternativa que promueva racionalidad ambiental y social en el marco de la profunda disputa territorial que se evidencia en los ámbitos de interfase rural-urbana. Además, algunas de estas han cobrado valor ante la emergencia del COVID-19, lo que destaca la función social de la provisión de alimentos frescos. Se muestra aquí el resultado de entrevistas, diálogos y charlas que son parte del trabajo de investigación y extensión del Grupo de Estudios Rurales de la Universidad Nacional de Luján.

Since 2015, the Colonia Agrícola Integral de Abastecimiento Urbano “20 de Abril« Darío Santillán »” has promoted an agroecological alternative in the production and commercialization of vegetables in the Luján District, Province of Buenos Aires (PBA). This undertaking of Family Agriculture and the Social and Solidarity Economy, arises in a context where the conventional horticultural production of the AMBA (Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires) is based on a hegemonic model based on the degradation of agrosystems and the consolidation of social relations exploitative. This article seeks to analyze the general conditions of the food production of the PBA and systematize some commercial strategies that occur in the Luján party, which could be an alternative that promotes environmental and social rationality within the framework of the deep territorial dispute that arises, evidence in the fields of rural-urban interface. In addition, some of these have gained value in the face of the COVID- 19 emergency, which highlights the social function of the provision of fresh food The results of interviews, dialogues and talks that are part of the research and extension work of the Rural Studies Group of the National University of Luján are shown here.
