dc.descriptionEste trabajo examina la cuestión de la ficcionalidad de las cantidades infinitas e infinitamente pequeñas desde el punto de vista de la idealidad de lo matemático. Sostiene la hipótesis de que ya hacia 1676 Leibniz despliega argumentos que tienden a establecer una separación entre él ámbito de lo matemático y el de la realidad concreta, afectando dicha escisión especialmente al estatus de las ficciones matemáticas. De esta forma, se inicia así una línea de desarrollo que culminará en el pensamiento maduro de Leibniz a formular su concepción de la separación entre lo ideal y lo real.
dc.descriptionThis paper examines the question regarding the fictionality of infinite and infinitely small quantities from the point of view of the ideality of the mathematical objects. It maintains the hypothesis that already around 1676 Leibniz deployed arguments for establishing a separation between the fields of mathematics and that of concrete reality, and that this split especially affects the status of mathematical fictions. Thus begins a line of development begins that culminates later in Leibniz's conception about the distinction between what is ideal and what is real.
