| dc.description | En la tradición tomista la voluntad ha sido concebida muchas veces como una potencia del alma que simplemente sigue el orden de la razón. Cornelio Fabro, por el contrario, considera que la voluntad no es movida por otro, no se subordina a la inteligencia, sino que se mueve por sí misma, se autodetermina. Su tomismo esencial, en este sentido, muestra una interpretación de la libertad y del acto de la voluntad en la obra de Tomás de Aquino, moderna y existencial. En el presente trabajo se desarrollarán, específicamente, algunos de los puntos más relevantes de su original exégesis. | |
| dc.description | In the Thomistic tradition the Will has often been thought of as a faculty of the soul; one that simply follows Reason’s commands. Cornelio Fabro, however, believes that the Will is not controlled by any outside force, that it is not subordinated to intelligence, but that it controls itself, it is self-determining. His essential Thomism, in this sense, displays a modern and existential interpretation of freedom and the act of the Will in Thomas Aquinas work. This paper will develop some of the more relevant aspects of his original exegesis. | |
