dc.descriptionTaking as starting point the appreciation of Constant about the Athenian freedom like herald of  modern liberal spirit, the following article makes a series of statements in relation to more specific ways of understanding that appreciation. In this sense, a key figure analyzed here is Solon of Athens (630 – c. 560 BC), to whom Constant arrived through Plutarch. The complete argument of the article is set in the Introduction.en-US
dc.description: A partir de la ponderación realizada por Constant de la libertad ateniense como precursora del moderno espíritu liberal, el siguiente artículo se propone establecer una serie de interpretaciones acerca de lo que por ello habría de entenderse de forma más específica que la letra manifiesta en la obra del lausanés. Para ello, se toma como punto fundamental de examen la figura de Solón de Atenas (s. VI a.C.), preponderantemente según la transmisión de la misma efectuada por Plutarco.
