dc.descriptionRESUMEN: En este artículo se explora la relación entre el tambor y la poesía. Se parte de la obra Tambores en la noche (1940) de Jorge Artel para ver de qué modo la música africana se trasladó a la semántica del poema escrito en español por un afrodescendiente colombiano del Caribe. Esta relación indica que la música del tambor africano transforma la poesía colombiana y abre una perspectiva política. Ese nuevo escenario poético es una forma de la transculturación.
dc.descriptionABSTRACT: This paper explores the relationship between the drum and poetry. It starts from the work Tambores en la noche (1940) by Jorge Artel to see how African music was transferred to the semantics of the poem written in Spanish by a Colombian Afro-descendant from the Caribbean. This relationship indicates that African drum music transforms Colombian poetry and opens a political perspective. This new poetic scenario is a form of transculturation.
