dc.descriptionRESUMEN: Este trabajo investiga las motivaciones e intencionalidad que tuvo Diego Castrillón al escribir José Tombé en cuanto la forma de representar el universo indígena que en el campo literario es visto como el referente. Se aplica el concepto de Heterogeneidad Literaria de Antonio Cornejo Polar para explicar el carácter conflictivo cuando se representa dicho referente. Con la investigación se aclara si el autor estaba convencido de presentar una denuncia sobre la problemática indio-terrateniente o solo quería mostrar el ambiente de terror y zozobra que vivían los propietarios de las grandes haciendas. También se hace una comparación entre la organización indígena relatada en la novela con respecto a la que se vive actualmente en la región con la creación del Concejo Regional Indígena del Cauca (CRIC).
dc.descriptionABSTRACT: This work investigates the motivations and intentionality that Diego Castrillón had in writing José Tombé as to how to represent the indigenous universe that in the literary field is seen as the reference. The concept of Literary Heterogeneity by Antonio Cornejo Polar is applied to explain the conflicting character when the referrer is represented. The investigation clarifies whether the author was convinced to file a complaint about the Indian-landowner problem or just wanted to show the atmosphere of terror and zozobra that the owners of the big estates lived. A comparison is also made between the indigenous organization recounted in the novel with respect to the one currently living in the region with the creation of the Indigena del Cauca Regional Council (CRIC).
