| dc.description | RESUMEN: El sesgo de correspondencia es uno de los errores del procesamiento de la información del pensamiento, y parte de la premisa de que las personas tienden a atribuir los comportamientos de los sujetos a motivación internas y eliminan cualquier explicación que se cause por algo externo. Este estudio busca poner a prueba la premisa que afirma que en la medida en que se obtengan herramientas para la lectura del comportamiento propio, es posible reducir la incurrencia en este sesgo (Rodríguez, 2012). Este estudio pretende poner a prueba esta premisa con los estudiantes del programa de psicología de la Universidad de Antioquia y de la Universidad San Buenaventura de Medellín, en cuanto a los conocimientos adquiridos o no durante la carrera y los efectos de estar asistiendo a consultas psicológicas, ya que, con estos elementos se puede llegar a un mayor acercamiento de la lectura del comportamiento propio. Este este es un estudio cuantitativo no experimental y para el mismo se construyó un instrumento de evaluación del sesgo mencionado. Este se aplicó a la muestra (19) y al grupo control (20) generando resultados similares entre ambos grupos. Se discute la importancia de promover más investigaciones y estrategias que permitan contribuir al conocimiento y eviten incurrir en el sesgo de correspondencia en el campo profesional de la psicología. | |
| dc.description | ABSTRACT: Correspondence bias is one of the errors in information processing, and it is based on the premise that people tend to attribute the subjects’ behaviors to internal motivations and eliminate any explanation that is caused by contextual situations. This study seeks to test the premise that states that as tools for reading one’s own behavior are obtained; it is possible to reduce the incurrence in such bias. This study aims to test this premise with psychology undergraduate students of the Universidad de Antioquia and of the San Buenaventura University of Medellín, regarding the knowledge acquired or not during the bachelor’s and the effects of getting psychological consultations, given that, with these elements it is possible to achieve better readings of one’s own behavior. This is a non-experimental quantitative study and for this study a correspondence bias assessment instrument was constructed. This test gas given to the sample subjects (19) and to the control group (20) creating similar results between both groups. The importance of promoting more research and strategies that contribute to knowledge and avoid incurring the correspondence bias in the professional field of psychology is discussed. | |
