| dc.description | RESUMEN: Partiendo de la idea de que el municipio de Sopetrán - Antioquia, es un lugar lleno de riqueza natural y cultural, y de que por décadas se ha hecho conocer como “La Tierra de las Frutas”, el presente manuscrito busca recuperar las memorias de sopetraneros y sopetraneras que se asocian a la producción de las frutas del municipio. Esta es una investigación cualitativa de tinte etnográfico y se apoya de una revisión bibliográfica que da cuenta del acontecer cultural e histórico de la producción de las frutas en el municipio. Para lograr los objetivos, este trabajo se divide en dos partes principales: La primera es un recorrido histórico sobre los frutales en la región del occidente cercano antioqueño y, específicamente de Sopetrán, y en la segunda parte se evidencian diversas manifestaciones culturales relacionadas con la producción de las frutas. Se concluye que Sopetrán cuenta con una historia que evidencia la importancia de las frutas desde tiempos prehispánicos, en donde ha tenido auges y decaídas de la producción, asimismo se nota que el conocimiento sobre los frutales no solo lo tienen los campesinos, sino la población en general. Se evidenció que las frutas hacen parte del día a día de los pobladores, quienes conservan diversos conocimientos que han pasado de generación en generación, sin embargo en los últimos años ha habido una innegable decadencia en la economía de las frutas y los diversos conocimientos y tradiciones están siendo amenazados por los nuevos modelos económicos y modos de vida. | |
| dc.description | ABSTRACT: Starting from the idea that Sopetran - Antioquia, is a place full of natural and cultural richness, and that from decades it has been known as the "Tierra de las frutas" (land of the fruits), this manuscript aims at recovering the memories of the Sopetran people that are associated to the fruit production in the town. This is a qualitative research document with an ethnographic flavor, and it is supported in a bibliographic study that illustrates the history and culture of the fruit production in the town. In order to achieve the objectives, this work is divided into two main parts: The first one is a historical trip regarding the fruit-trees in the near antioquean western region, and specifically in Sopetran, and in the second part multiple cultural manifestations related to fruit production are shown. We conclude that Sopetran has a history that showcases the relevance of the fruits since prehispanic times, and it has had peaks and bottoms in terms of production. One can also note that not only the farmers have the knowledge regarding the fruit trees, but the population in general. It is evident that fruits are part of the day-to-day of Sopetran's inhabitants, who still have certain knowledge, that has passed from generation to generation. However, during the last few years there has been an undeniable decadence in terms of the fruit economy, and the knowledge and traditions are being threatened by new economical models and life styles. | |
