| dc.description | RESUMEN: En este artículo ofrezco un estudio de los argumentos fisiológicos y antropológicos con los que Paul Valéry describe el surgimiento de la dimensión estética y artística del hombre. Para ello, presento inicialmente, el análisis del autor sobre el fenómeno de la sensibilidad desde donde cobra forma el mundo de lo estético. Luego, examino la relación de las modulaciones emotivas y cognitivas que configuran la experiencia del arte. A su vez, explicito la teoría por la cual Valéry indica que las sensaciones inútiles y los actos arbitrarios del hombre constituyen el origen mismo del arte. En correspondencia con estas argumentaciones intento probar que para el autor la experiencia de lo estético despierta en el hombre una clase singular de deseo que nunca alcanza a ser por completo colmado. Por otra parte, demuestro que la noción valeriana de infinito estético con la que se describe el valor de la contemplación artística, vincula una forma de placer que propicia en cada conciencia una reinvención significativa del mundo. Con todo ello, procuro corroborar que las reflexiones de Valéry en torno al surgimiento del fenómeno estético y artístico, se amparan en un profundo y original conocimiento de la naturaleza sensible y psíquica del ser humano. | |
| dc.description | ABSTRACT: In this paper I offer a study of the physiological and anthropological arguments through which Paul Valéry
makes explicit the rise of an aesthetic and artistic dimension in man. To that end I present, first of all, the author’s
analysis on the phenomenon of sensitivity from which the aesthetic world takes its form. I then examine the
relationship between the cognitive and emotional modulations that configure the experience of art. At the same
time, I make explicit Valéry’s theory according to which useless sensations and arbitrary acts are the origin of
art. In correspondence with these arguments, I attempt to prove that for Valéry the experience of the aesthetic
awakens in man a particular kind of desire that can never be entirely fulfilled. On the other hand, I demonstrate
that Valéry’s concept of the aesthetic infinite, through which he describes the value of artistic contemplation, is
tied to a species of pleasure that favors in each consciousness a meaningful reinvention of the world. I also try
to corroborate that Valéry’s reflections on the birth of the aesthetic and the artistic phenomenons are supported
by a deep and original knowledge of the sensitive and psychical nature of the human being. | |
