dc.descriptionRESUMEN: Objetivo: Conocer los comportamientos generados por las experiencias en el conflicto armado y comprender los significados que les dan a estas, los estudiantes de Salud Pública y Enfermería. Metodología: Investigación de tipo cualitativo con enfoque etnográfico, se aplicaron 20 entrevistas no estructuradas, se elaboró diario de campo, se codificaron los datos, se construyeron categorías y se elaboró un mapa conceptual para facilitar la escritura del artículo. Hallazgos: Los estudiantes describen dos formas de comportamiento en las personas que han tenido contacto con el conflicto armado, el primero es huir y el segundo es quedarse y sobrevivir, ambas decisiones son respuestas emocionales al miedo ocasionado por los grupos armados. Una vez pasado el conflicto los estudiantes sienten miedo de ir a lugares donde hay presencia de excombatientes. Los estudiantes se consideran víctimas, independiente de la experiencia que hayan tenido, ya sea directa o indirecta; los victimarios vistos individualmente, también son víctimas. Conclusión: El miedo como sentimiento obstaculiza la interacción con los excombatientes. Es necesario superar el miedo para poder trabajar con ellos y esto se logra por medio del conocimiento del contexto.
dc.descriptionABSTRACT: Objective: To know the behaviors of students of Public Health and Nursing caused by their experience with armed conflicto in Colombia and understand the meanings they give to them. Methodology: Ethnographic qualitative research. 20 unstructured interviews were applied, the fieldnotes were recorded during the interviews, the data obtained from the interviews were codified and categorized. For the writing of the article it was helpful to draw mental maps. Findings: The students describe two different ways of behaviors related to the experience of the people who have been in touch with the armed conflict, first one is to run away, the other is to stay and survive, both are emotional responses to the fear caused by the armed groups. Once the conflict has passed, students feel fear of going to places where ex combatants are settled down. They consider themselves as victims, does not matter what kind of experience they had have, direct or indirect; the perpetrators as individuals are considered as victims. Conclusion: Fear is a feeling that makes difficult to interact with the ex combatants. It is necessary to get over it to be able to work with them and it is possible to achieve this through the knowledge of the armed conflict context.
