| dc.description | RESUMEN: La religiosidad y la moralidad han estado estrechamente vinculadas a lo largo de la historia, ya que en occidente, la iglesia católica tuvo la hegemonía en los temas referentes al comportamiento de los seres humanos, pues no se concebían las ideas del bien y el mal sin la intervención divina. Ahora, luego de un proceso de secularización paulatino comenzado en el siglo XVIII con la Ilustración, estos dos complejos temas han sido estudiados de manera separada, pero sin perder nunca la conexión entre ambos, pues para muchos sectores estas variables son completamente indivisibles. A mediados del siglo XX nace el interés de la psicología por estudiar los aspectos morales del comportamiento humano, que no estaban necesariamente ligados a la religión, lo que ha generado algunas controversias a través de los años frente a la supuesta relación entre religiosidad y moral. Por ello, se han llevado a cabo diversas investigaciones que han tratado de dar fin a las discusiones existentes en este tema.
De igual manera, el presente estudio tiene como objetivo establecer la relación entre la actitud religiosa y el nivel de desarrollo moral en un grupo de personas entre los 25 y 50 años, pertenecientes al corregimiento de Currulao, Distrito de Turbo. Utilizando dos instrumentos: El cuestionario de opinión sobre problemas sociales (COPS) de James Rest, para medir el nivel de desarrollo moral, y La Escala breve de Francis (Francis-5), pare medir el nivel de religiosidad
Se encontró que, entre las variables actitud religiosa y el nivel de desarrollo moral, según el coeficiente de Pearson, existe una correlación de -0,309, indicando que dicha relación es media-baja e inversamente proporcional. | |
| dc.description | ABSTRACT: Religiosity and morality have been closely linked throughout history, since in the West, the Catholic Church had hegemony on issues related to the behavior of human beings, since ideas of good and evil were not conceived without divine intervention Now, after a gradual secularization process In the eighteenth century with the Enlightenment, these two complex issues have been studied separately, but without ever losing the connection between the two, since for many sectors these variables are completely indivisible . In the mid-twentieth century, the interest of psychology was born to study the moral aspects of human behavior, which had not been related to religion, which has generated some controversy over the years regarding the alleged relationship between religiosity and morality Therefore, several investigations have been carried out that have tried to put an end to the difficulties in this area.
Similarly, the present study aims to establish the relationship between religious attitude and the level of moral development in a group of people between 25 and 50 years, belonging to the district of Currulao, Turbo District. Using two instruments: the James Rest Questionnaire on Social Problems, to measure the level of moral development, and The Francis Short Scale (Francis-5), to measure the level of religiosity.
It was found that, between the variables religious attitude and the level of moral development, according to the Pearson coefficient, there is a correlation of -0.309, which indicates that this relationship is medium-low and inversely proportional. | |
