| dc.description.abstract | Colombia has subregions that, due to their environmental and climatic conditions, are known for their extensive history as dairy production areas and a large part of its economy is based on it. However, it has not been oblivious to the problems that arise due to world events that have repercussions on the increase in inputs, in addition to the natural constant of supply and demand in the increases in the prices of fertilizers, concentrates, inputs, equipment, labor, import of whey and the lack of cutting-edge technology and easy access to it, which, undoubtedly, are detrimental to the economy of primary producers. The joint search for the strengthening of the sector is a transformative challenge, which universities, companies, and the state must work together to improve the quality of life and economic development of dairy farmers. To have the opportunity to build a center for science, technology, and open innovation in dairy farming for Colombia, a pre-feasibility stage must be initiated, which seeks to establish the need and construction of this. The development of this pre-feasibility research seeks to identify the context and economic situation on which dairy farming is in Colombia, carry out an analysis of the sector and demand, identify international developments to strengthen dairy farming and propose a structure and Pre-feasibility analysis for the construction of a center for dairy farming in Colombia. At the end of the research project, recommendations will be provided regarding the methodology and purpose of the construction of this center for dairy farming and this tripartite will be provoked: University, Company, and State, so that they jointly work to be the promoters of this project that seeks to contribute to the development of the dairy cattle sector in Colombia.
