Implementación de la metodología B.I.M. para el control del diseño y ejecución del proyecto metro Av. 80 Medellín

Abstract

Due to the complexity of the projects developed by the Metro de Medellín company and considering the adoption of the digital transformation that is currently taking place in the architecture, engineering and construction sector, a proposal for the implementation of the BIM methodology is presented for the metro la 80 project, as a pilot test, which will allow its progressive implementation in future projects carried out by the Medellín Metro. As a starting point, a state of the art on the implementation of the BIM methodology in railway projects is presented, then a diagnosis within the company, which allowed defining the advances and gaps in the face of a BIM implementation, then a development of contractual documents for the Metro de la 80 project and ending with a structured proposal for the implementation of the methodology in future projects. The results obtained show little referencing in terms of implementations of the BIM methodology in railway projects, the level of maturity in the "initial" phase as a conclusion of the self-diagnosis, the expectation generated with respect to the BIM contractual guidelines with which it is expected to be improve the results of the Company's project management through this pilot project, and finally, that the proposed structure for the implementation of the BIM methodology serve as a reference for future Company projects.
