dc.description.abstractThe general objective of this research is to analyze the perception of the influence of the consumption of series and movies on the development of self-concept during adolescence in a group of only children. It was carried out under a qualitative approach with descriptive scope, by means of semi-structured interviews with 10 only children. The results showed that the participants perceive an influence of part of the contents of series and movies, as these broaden their knowledge of perspectives that contribute to the formation of the social, physical and personal dimensions of their self-concept. It is important to continue researching on this population and on the influence of audiovisual contents, so strengthening an interdisciplinary work with reception theories may be fundamental to analyze the influence of the works on the observers.
