dc.description.abstractThis degree project focuses on carrying out a pre-feasibility study for the creation of a purified water sales company in Cartago, Valle del Cauca. The UNIDO methodology was used, with which the market, legal aspects and administrative characteristics of the business were identified; In addition, the environmental and social impact, financial viability and risks associated with the project were determined. The study had a qualitative approach, through the application of a survey to 105 inhabitants of the town. The results reveal the existence of a growing demand for purified water in the market and the profitable business opportunity in this sector. In addition, strategies for the commercialization of the product were identified, including the location of the vending machines, the pricing and the promotion. On the other hand, and based on some requirements, the relevance and opportunity of creating the business model is evidenced, evaluating the profitability and determination of a viable project.
