dc.description | El cambio clim?tico ha generado p?rdidas en cultivos por alteraciones en distribuci?n
de lluvias, que causan d?ficit h?drico, e incrementos en temperatura. Un ejemplo de
adaptaci?n a esto es la generaci?n de materiales adaptados, tal como frijol (Phaseolus
vulgaris), en la cual se ha desarrollado l?neas con tolerancia a baja fertilidad y sequ?a.
El CIAT realiz? cruces, generando l?neas interespec?ficas de P. vulgaris X P. acutifolius
x P. coccineus, cuya adaptaci?n a se prob? en la Granja de Armero (CURDN) de la
Universidad del Tolima.
Se emple? un dise?o experimental de bloques completos al azar, con un total de 35
tratamientos y tres repeticiones.
Algunas de las variables evaluadas fueron: d?as a floraci?n y a madurez fisiol?gica,
conductancia estom?tica, eficiencia fotosint?tica, contenido de clorofila (SPAD),
biomasa, rendimiento de grano y componentes de rendimiento (peso de 100 semillas,
n?mero de semillas por ?rea, ?ndice de partici?n a vaina y de cosecha de vaina).
Se encontr? que las altas temperaturas tienen un impacto negativo en el rendimiento
de grano afectando la removilizaci?n de fotoasimilados dirigidos al llenado de vainas y
de semilla, adem?s de repercutir en aspectos morfo-fisiol?gicos como abscisi?n floral y
biomasa a?rea.
Las l?neas SEF 15, SEF 14, SEF 16 y SEF 60 presentaron rendimientos significativos
en condiciones de calor y demostraron tolerancia a este tipo de estr?s. Los anteriores
resultados ser?n de gran importancia regional y nacional porque dar?n los primeros
pasos en la b?squeda de materiales de frijol adaptados a temperaturas cada vez m?s

dc.description | Climate change has caused crop losses due to changes in the distribution of rainfall,
causing water deficit, and an increase in temperature. An example of adaptation to this
is the generation of adapted materials, such as beans (Phaseolus vulgaris), in which it
has been developed lines with tolerance to low fertility and drought.
CIAT carried out crosses, generating interspecific lines of P. vulgaris x P. acutifolius x P.
coccinues, whose adaptation was evaluated in La Granja de Armero (CURDN) at the
University of Tolima.
An experimental design of randomized complete block with a total of 35 treatments and
three replications was used.
Some of the evaluated variables were: days to flowering and to physiological maturity,
stomatal conductance, photosynthetic efficiency, chlorophyll content (SPAD), biomass,
grain yield and yield components (weight of 100 seeds, number of seeds per area, pod
partition and pod harvest index).
It was found that high temperatures have a negative impact on grain yield affecting the
remobilization of photoassimilates aimed at filling pods and seed, as well as impacted
morpho-physiological aspects such as floral abscission and aboveground biomass.
The SEF 15, SEF 14, SEF 16 and SEF 60 lines showed significant yield in high
temperature conditions, showing tolerance to this kind of stress. These results have a
great regional and national importance because they will give the first steps in finding
bean materials adapted to increasingly high temperatures.
