| dc.description | El Software Libre (SL) es un artefacto tecnol?gico desarrollado por una gran cantidad de usuarios los cuales han conseguido aplicar el uso de esta tecnolog?a dentro de una perspectiva social. En sus inicios, este tipo de software fue desarrollado por un grupo de individuos pertenecientes al Instituto Tecnol?gico de Massachusetts (MIT) con el prop?sito de generar una alternativa distinta del software privativo, a ?ste grupo de individuos se les conoce como hackers. Los hackers lograron por medio de la cooperaci?n y la no restricci?n en el intercambio de ideas; m?s el ofrecimiento de una serie de libertades al software la creaci?n del Sistema Operativo GNU/Linux. Hoy en d?a, GNU/Linux ha servido como base para la formaci?n de comunidades que est?n encaminadas en la creaci?n de contenidos libres o abiertos.
Por lo amplia que es la comunidad del software libre, se pretende ilustrar una porci?n de este universo por medio de la Comunidad Abierta de Software Libre Ibagu? (CASLI) relacionada con ?ste tipo de software. En este proyecto se ejecuta una revisi?n hist?rica, te?rica y conceptual del SL y el hacker, tambi?n realiza una revisi?n documental sobre los desarrollos de CASLI, se aplican entrevistas a sus miembros con el fin de exponer que tipo de din?micas se presentan en las comunidades que desarrollan SL, de esta forma presentar un breve an?lisis sobre la funci?n de los hackers que colaboran con el desarrollo y migraci?n de tecnolog?as libres, y a su vez, se?alar algunas alternativas que ofrece la aplicaci?n y desarrollo de SL en nuestro contexto. | |
| dc.description | Free Software is a technological device developed by a large numbers of users which have managed to implement the use of this technology within social perspective. In the beginning, this type of software was developed by a group of individuals belonging to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in order to generate a different alternative of proprietary software, this group of individuals are known as hackers. Hackers achieved through cooperation and no restriction on the exchange of ideas, most offering a series of freedoms the creation Operating System GNU/Linux. Today, GNU/Linux has served as the basis for the formation of communities that are aimed at creating free and open content.
For large that it is the free software community, aims to try to illustrate a portion of this universe through the Open Community Free Software Ibagu? (CASLI) related to this type of software. This project had a review historical, theoretical and conceptual of the Free Software and the hacker, also makes a review of documentary and developments of CASLI, interviews apply to its members in order to expose what kind of dynamics are presented in communities develop Free Software, thus presenting a brief analysis of the role of hackers who collaborate with the development and migration of free technologies, at the same time, point out some alternatives offered by the application and development of Free Software in our context.
