| dc.description | Los animales no están muy lejos de ser como las personas, pues tienen necesidades y sentimientos, requieren baños, paseos de rutina y una crianza correcta. Un animal sin las condiciones anteriores está cerca de terminar en situación de abandono. Se estima que en la ciudad de Barranquilla existen más de 100.000 animales abandonados, la mayoría domésticos como perros y gatos. Muchos de estos animales podrían ser adoptados y liberados de la difícil situación a la que se enfrentan. El presente proyecto tiene como propósitos principales: (i) brindar una vida digna a los animales en situación de calle, en un hogar lleno de afectos y cuidados; y (ii) darles a las personas la oportunidad de salvar a un animal y ser acompañados por el mismo durante mucho tiempo. Para esto desarrollamos un prototipo de plataforma web en la cual no solo las personas puedan adoptar animales, sino que también estén en la capacidad de reportar la pérdida de mascotas y denunciar cualquier situación de peligro. Mediante una encuesta se evaluó la percepción que las personas que probaron la plataforma. Como pregunta inicial se optó por conocer la opinión respecto al impacto del prototipo y si este sería verdaderamente útil para la sociedad. De esta forma se determinó que la mayoría de las personas lo consideran funcional y lo recomendarían. Finalmente, el prototipo se planteó como una solución a pequeña escala, cumpliendo con los objetivos establecidos. Una inversión de capital considerable generaría un éxito en su implementación a nivel municipal, departamental e incluso nacional. | |
| dc.description | Animals are not very far from being like people, as they have needs and feelings, they require bathing, routine walks, and proper upbringing. An animal without the above conditions is close to end up in a situation of abandonment. It is estimated that in the city of Barranquilla there are more than 100,000 abandoned animals, most of them domestic, such as dogs and cats. Many of these animals could be adopted and released from the difficult situation they are facing. The main purposes of this project are: (i) to provide a dignified life for stray animals, in a home full of affection and care; and (ii) give people the opportunity to save an animal and be accompanied by it for a long time. With this in mind, we developed a prototype of a web platform in which not only people can adopt animals, but also could report the loss of pets and report any dangerous situation. Through a survey, the perception of the people who tried the platform was evaluated. As an initial question, it was decided to know the opinion regarding the impact of the prototype and if it would be truly useful for society. In this way it was determined that most people consider it functional and would recommend it. Finally, the prototype was proposed as a small-scale solution, fulfilling the established objectives. A considerable capital investment would generate a success in its implementation at the municipal, departmental, and even national levels. | |
