dc.descriptionThe purpose of the article is to explain how through history, and based on the definition of health as the mere absence of disease, different authors, as well as the World Health Organization itself since its establishment in 1948, propose another definition, and also how authors experienced in the subject incorporate other elements, such as affection, emotion, environment, among others, in order to explain that human health should include all the dimensions of the human being (cognitive, emotional and mobility). It also contemplates relevant aspects, such as the environment and biological-sociocultural context and other underlying elements such as emotivity, thus configuring the term “integral health”.en-US
dc.descriptionEl propósito del artículo, es comprender cómo a través de la historia y a partir de la definición de salud como la mera ausencia de enfermedad, diferentes autores y la propia Organización Mundial de la Salud a partir de 1946, en su carta constitucional proponen otra definición y a su vez autores entendidos en la materia incorporan otros elementos como la afectividad, la emoción, el entorno entre otros; con el objetivo de explicar que la salud humana debe abarcar todas las dimensiones del ser humano (cognitiva, afectiva y motriz). A la vez considerar, por un lado, aspectos relevantes como el entorno y el contexto biológico-sociocultural, y por otro, elementos subyacentes como la emocionalidad, configurando así el término "salud integral”.es-ES
