China grew slowly demographically due to war, disease and Malthusian resource constraints. Suddenly the population grew rapidly, with constant poverty and female infanticide. The teacher compares European and British demographics to the Chinese one and shows that although the British marry less they have more children. In China girls have many disadvantages. The government makes the fertility control
