Elaboración de un plan de mantenimiento preventivo centrado en la confiabilidad, para el proceso de fabricación de granalla mineral abrasiva, de la Empresa VITECAL S.A. de Riobamba

Abstract

The main objective of the technical study was to carry out a preventive maintenance plan based on the reliability-centered maintenance methodology for Vitecal Company, where the low availability of the equipment due to the lack of adequate maintenance management was observed first hand. For which an inventory was elaborated under a hierarchical structure according to the ISO 14224 standard, then a semi-qualitative criticality analysis was carried out defining the critical systems, of which their functions and operational contexts were determined in order to analyze them based on the RCM methodology, taking into consideration the guidelines of the SAE JA 1012 standard, with the purpose of determining the necessary proactive tasks. Defining maintenance frequencies based on experience, maintenance manuals and reliability criteria by using the parameters of the Weibull distribution, to determine appropriate preventive replacement policies for the most important equipment of the production process, the necessary maintenance documentation was also prepared for the effective registration of activities, as well as essential maintenance indicators were calculated. Once the maintenance tasks were defined, the maintenance matrix was developed and the required annual budget was calculated, as well as a proposal for a warehouse of materials and spare parts through an inventory of items required to perform the proposed tasks. In conclusion, a computer tool was developed using Excel software with the intention of facilitating maintenance management within the Vitecal Company. The use of horometers and the continuous training of maintenance personnel within the company are recommended.
