dc.description.abstract | The objective of the current thesis was to develop a virtual store to modify the times in the costumer service when booking a tour package in the Caroline Tours travel agency in the city of Baños. We utilized the agile SCRUM methodology for the planning and the development of the virtual store, we stablished methods and techniques for each of the proposed objectives, as well. Furthermore, we determined a sample of 384 people for the evaluation of the efficiency in the virtual store. We identified 40 user stories and 8 technical stories in the development phase through the use of tools of development such as: ReactJS for front-end development and Laravel for back-end development and MySql database engine. Finally, to evaluate the performance efficiency of the virtual store, we utilized the ISO / IEC 25010 quality standard through the quality sub-characteristics “time behavior”. We utilized the Mann- Whitney test for two independent samples, we determined that there are significant differences: that is why the results obtained show that with the use of the virtual store the times when registering a reservation of a tourist package are modified. We concluded that it was possible to optimize a 97.43% and a 91.48% is optimized in viewing a tourist package compared to the manual processes that were carried out previously. In order to improve the money collection process, it is recommended to increase the online payment module. | |
