dc.description.abstract | The objective of the technical project was the development of an educational software for learning English in children from 3 to 5 years old. We utilized the interview and observation techniques for the problem identification, which were applied to teachers and parents of the Unidad Educativa Martiniano Guerrero Freire. We considered the agile methodology SUM for the software development through 5 phases that allowed the development of the educational software along with Unity game engine and adobe Photoshop for the creation of graphical environment linked with C Sharp programming language. The educational software encompasses 4 modules: vowels, numbers, family members and animals (wild and domestic). Each module contains and explanation of the topic with friendly pictures for children, complemented with reinforcement activities within the English language learning process. We determined two variables (graphic environment and usability) for the evaluation of the hypothesis. We measured two aspects for the usability: response time in the computer of the parent and a test of paradigms to verify the satisfaction of the children with the company of their parents in which we considered the colorimetric parameters, graphics and intuitiveness resulting in the times being in the established range and the children accepted the design of the interface. We concluded that the educational software is easy to use, and we recommend the use of the educational software for learning English in early childhood education. | |
