The growing expectations of new technologies and their multiple uses have far-reaching effects in all areas of society, especially in higher education, where the need not only tries to cover up their effects. First, a theoretical overview of different meanings and concepts related to digital competence is revealed. This approach provides information on aspects related to digital literacy. Below are some data that allow us to provide new perspectives, such as the importance and impact, and what digital skills university professors should have in relation to the current needs of higher education. Finally, different expectations are known regarding the aspects that can be developed from said related topics.en-US
dc.descriptionEste artículo analiza las competencias digitales en el contexto actual. Las crecientes expectativas de las nuevas tecnologías y sus múltiples usos tienen efectos de gran alcance en todos los ámbitos de la sociedad, especialmente en la educación superior, donde la necesidad no sólo trata de tapar sus efectos. En primer lugar, se revela un panorama teórico de diferentes significados y conceptos relacionados con la competencia digital. Este enfoque proporciona información sobre aspectos relacionados con la alfabetización digital. A continuación, se presentan algunos datos que nos permiten brindar nuevas perspectivas, como la importancia e impacto, y qué competencias digitales deben tener los docentes universitarios en relación a las necesidades actuales de la educación superior. Finalmente, se conocen diferentes expectativas en cuanto a los aspectos que se pueden desarrollar a partir de dichos temas afines.es-ES
