La inversión pública municipal y su incidencia social en la seguridad ciudadana de Guayaquil, periodo 2019 – 2022

Abstract

El presente estudio tubo como finalidad establecer la relación existente entre la inversión pública municipal y su incidencia social en la seguridad ciudadana de Guayaquil, durante el periodo 2019 al 2022. Se caracterizó por ser de tipo no experimental y de enfoque mixto ya que se combinó tanto métodos cualitativos como cuantitativos. Se utilizó la entrevista y encuesta como técnica, sumado al cuestionario como herramienta de recolección de datos, los cuales se aplicaron a una muestra de 96 habitantes de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Se procedió a realizar un análisis de correspondencia entre las respuestas de la encuesta, lo cual los resultados indicaron una relación significativa entre la inversión pública municipal y su incidencia social en la seguridad ciudadana en 5 de los cruces analizados. Además, el 42% de los encuestados consideró que al transcurso de los años 2019 al 2022, a veces la municipalidad de Guayaquil ha contado con un plan de seguridad ciudadana, destacando que el 75% nunca ha participó en alguna actividad o iniciativa municipal relacionada con la seguridad ciudadana en el barrio o zona donde habitan. Por otra parte, el 45% de los encuestados consideró que casi nunca la inversión efectuada por la municipalidad de Guayaquil ha permitido que la ciudad sea segura, resaltando que nunca y casi nunca ha ocasionado una reducción progresiva de la delincuencia.

The purpose of this study was to establish the relationship between municipal public investment and its social impact on citizen security in Guayaquil, during the period 2019 to 2022. It was characterized by being non-experimental and mixed approach since both qualitative and quantitative methods were combined. The interview and survey were used as a technique, in addition to the questionnaire as a data collection tool, which were applied to a sample of 96 inhabitants of the city of Guayaquil. A correspondence analysis was carried out between the survey responses, which the results indicated a significant relationship between municipal public investment and its social impact on citizen security in 5 of the crossings analyzed. In addition, 42% of respondents considered that over the years 2019 to 2022, sometimes the municipality of Guayaquil has had a citizen security plan, highlighting that 75% have never participated in any municipal activity or initiative related to citizen security in the neighborhood or area where they live. On the other hand, 45% of respondents considered that almost never the investment made by the municipality of Guayaquil has allowed the city to be safe, highlighting that it has never and almost never caused a progressive reduction in crime
