involvement by HCC was the age group between 51-60 years (27.5%), more
common in men (65%) and as the main risk factor liver cirrhosis (92.3%),
Hepatocarcinoma stage BCLC B (79.1%), BCLC C (20.8%) the degree of total
devascularization after TACE at three months assessed by triphasic abdominal CT
was (44.4% Stage B), (42.1% Stage C) . The most frequent complication was post chemoembolization syndrome (89%). Conclusions: transarterial chemoembolization
is an effective and safe strategy to treat patients with intermediate stage
hepatocellular carcinoma, managing to reduce its measurements and tumor volume.
