El Sector Camaronero Ecuatoriano durante la pandemia de Covid-19 en el año 2020

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es observar el comportamiento que tuvo el sector camaronero en el Ecuador durante el periodo de pandemia por Covid-19. La metodología que se aplicó en este trabajo fue de tipo mixto, cuantitativo y cualitativo, que permitió una revisión documental de textos y estadísticas para elaborar este trabajo. Se describe el comportamiento con respecto a la producción y exportación de camarón como principales actividades que desarrolla este sector. Se llegó a concluir que la pandemia si afectó de manera negativa al sector porque este no se desenvolvió en gran magnitud a como lo hubiese hecho sin la pandemia, el sector no cumplió con las perspectivas en base a lo que se había dado en años anteriores. De igual manera se puede observar como con el pasar de los años el sector se ha convertido en uno de los más importantes para el país.

The objective of this research work is to observe the behavior of the shrimp sector in Ecuador during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic. The methodology that was applied in this work was mixed, quantitative and qualitative, which allowed a documentary review of texts and statistics to prepare this work. The behavior regarding the production and export of shrimp is described as the main activities carried out by this sector. It was concluded that the pandemic did negatively affect the sector because it didn’t develop to a great extent as it would have done without the pandemic, the sector didn’t meet the prospects based on what had occurred in previous years. The same way, it can be seen how over the years the sector has become one of the most important for the country
